This history of this deliciously fruity cocktail that we enjoy today dates back to several centuries! It dates back to times of early Romans and Greeks, who used to drink called “Hippocras”, which, most probably, was the earliest ancestor of Sangria. However, it was banished for centuries when Islamic emperors conquered the Spanish peninsula, until the late 1400s.

Sangria literally translates to “blood” for the red wine, which is used to make this drink. It gained much popularity in England and France in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries; however, the seeds for the present craze for Sangria in the US were sewn at around the mid-twentieth century. Although it’s mainly made for cocktails, yet, people all over the world have invented some of the most delectable mocktails with Sangria as well. Without further ado, let’s start with sangria mocktail recipes you can make right in your kitchen!

Delicious Sangria Mocktails Recipes You Can Make at Home!

Tropical Punch Sangria Mocktail

This mocktail brings you the goodness of pineapple and mango, and antioxidants rich kombucha. You are just going to fall in love with its flavours! Here’s its recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of tropical punch Health-Ade Kombucha
  • 1 pineapple – cut into chunks
  • 2 mangos – cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
  • 4 sprigs of fresh mint (for garnish)
  • 12 oz (about 350 ml) of sparkling water

How to Make

  • Peel off the pineapples outer layer, and cut it into small (about 2-inch) pieces.
  • Peel off the mangoes and cut them into small squares, and take out the chunks.
  • Place the pieces of mangoes and pineapple into the pitcher and add sparkling water and health-ade kombucha
  • Keep the mixture aside for at least 5-6 hours and it’s recommended to set it aside for overnight to enjoy its best flavour!

Note: The recipe if meant for about 5 servings. You can experiment with more quantity per your preference.

Virgin White Peach Sangria

Another fruiticious drink you can serve at your next house party!

Ingredients

  • About 1 litre white grape juice
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced peaches (even better if they’re frozen)
  • 1 small orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange juice(pulp-free)
  • About 1 litre peach nectar
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • About 1 litre sparkling mineral water

How to Make

  • Start with peeling off the fruits. When done, place them into a large jug.
  • Add grape juice, orange juice, and nectar to the above mixture.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for several hours (for best flavour, you can leave it overnight).
  • When you’re ready to drink it, add sparkling water to it. Serve by adding ice cubes into the glass, and don’t forget to distribute the fruit evenly in the glasses!

Sparkling Blueberry Sangria Mocktail

    Ingredients

  • 900 ml-1 litre blueberry juice
  • 1 lime (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 lemon (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 big green apple sliced into wedges, and seeds removed
  • 1 cup of green grapes
  • About 500 ml ginger ale

How to Make

  • Take out the most enormous jug you have in your kitchen, and pour all the blueberry juice into it.
  • Top it all with all the sliced fruits, and keep this mixture to refrigerate for several hours.
  • When you want to serve, just add ginger ale into it, and serve with some garnished fruit!

Virgin Pomegranate Citrus Sangria

This recipe would require some time, as you would require some time to make the tea infusion.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp seedless raspberry jam
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 2 English breakfast tea bags
  • 8 thin orange wheels
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 1/4 cups chilled unsweetened 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, as you like
  • 4 thin lemon wheels
  • 1 cup fresh berries, sliced peaches, or other seasonal fruit
  • 3/4 cup chilled club soda

How to Make

  • Take a 1-litre saucepan and mix raspberry jam and water. Put it over medium heat, and stir till its dissolved. Dissolve tea bags in it for about 30-40 min. (If you don’t intend to serve immediately, you can refrigerate it.)
  • In a large 2-litre jug, place four orange wheels along with the tea mixture. Add all the fruit juices into it, and stir well.
  • For serving, add chilled soda and ice, and it’s ready!

Apple Cider Sangria

Ingredients

  • 2 sliced apples
  • 1 sliced pear
  • 1 sliced orange
  • 2 lemons
  • 3/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 4 cinnamon sticks (can add more as per preference)
  • 2 cups sparkling water (or club soda)

How to Make

  • Take sliced pieces of apples, oranges, lemons, and pomegranate seeds and pour them into a large jug.
  • Start pouring apple cider, along with lemon juice on to this mixture. Keep it to refrigerate for 8-10 hours.
  • For serving, take a class and pour the mixture in it along with the fruits, and add club soda or sparkling water to it. You can add a cinnamon stick for additional garnishing!

Tropical Green Tea Sangria Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 6 Lipton (or any other) tea bags
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups chilled white grape juice
  • 2 cups chilled fruit juice
  • 2 oranges
  • 6 key limes
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 cup diced pineapple

How to Make

  • Dip the tea bags into boiling water for about 3-5 minutes. Once done, stir it with honey.
  • In a large jug, mix all the other ingredients, and keep the mixture to refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  • Serve the drink by adding ice cubes and other seasonal fruits (if you have any).
