This crime drama series is based on the infamous 2012 Delhi gang rape case. The series is written and directed by Richie Mehta and has Shefali Shah (playing Deputy Commissioner of Police – Vartika Chaturvedi) while Rasika Dugal and Rajesh Tailang play the roles of an under-training IPS officer and inspector, respectively. The entire movie was shot in 62 days at different locations in Delhi.

Richie Mehta researched for almost 6 years after he sought approvals from the victim’s family and Delhi Police. Ghoul is an Indian horror mini web series based on the Arabian folklore monster, ghoul. The story of this Netflix original is set on the backdrop of dystopian future in India. The lead role Nida Rahim (played by Radhika Apte) is part of a govt. body constituted to capture terrorists. But, she is not the typical Indian hero and has a negative aspect as well. She gives away her soul to Ghoul as she transforms from patriotic soldier to a suspected terrorist.

Nida Rahim is appointed at a secret military facility where one of the most dreaded terrorists has been captured and is being interrogated. However, things take a shocking turn when the terrorist begins revealing the appalling secrets of the interrogators. Rahim starts to believe that the terrorist is possessed by some demonic spirit. Ghoul has been portrayed as a demonic spirit who takes the form of any guilty individual and has not been used as a ploy, but as a storytelling instrument. Ghoul is not your average Indian horror show with loud noises and expected hook scenes, but the horror is embedded in the story itself. It’s a story about 8 strangers, who live in different parts of the world and suddenly discover that they are emotionally and mentally connected. The role of the eight strangers is portrayed by Aml Ameen, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, and Brian J. Smith respectively.

A Netflix original supernatural horror series, ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ is scripted by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for Netflix and is based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. The lead role of Sabrina Spellman is played by Kierna Shipka, whose character is of a half witch and half human. She must choose between her family (who are involved in witchcraft and teaches Sabrina about the spells and devotion to the dark lord) and her human friends.
