Have a Wide Assortment of Snacks for Your Party

All of us love to party with our friends and loved ones. While it takes a lot of effort to pull it through, it is worth the effort. And starters form an integral part of any party. However, we are often faced with the dilemma about what all snacks to have in the party menu.

Most of us prefer to include exotic snacks that take a lot of time to make but are loved by the guests. You must have a reasonable number of items to ensure that your guests like them.

However, most of us prefer to keep the menu simple with everyday items. In this article, we have put up recipes for some of the Indian snacks for a party.

How to Select Snacks for a Party

Parties can be hosted for numerous reasons and depending upon what vibe you are aiming to create and purpose of the event, you can finalise the menu for your guests. Here are some tips on what you should keep in mind when selecting snacks for a party.

Who are the Attendees?

Before you finalise your snacks menu, you must go through the list of guests. It will help you to understand their likes and dislikes that can help you decide on the menu. You must know the recipes that would be liked by most of your guests. For example, you would need to have a balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The number of guests would also help to select the number of snacks you need for the party.

Keep It Simple

As a host, you must balance the choice of snacks. Also, you must not try too many options but rather keep it simple. It serves in the best interest not to introduce any new items on the menu as every one may not like it. The snacks menu must blend into the main course, and ideally, you must select the main course first and select the snack items around the main course.

Keep It Healthy

Make an attempt to choose healthy snacks that everyone can enjoy. They should not be too filling which can actually hinder the guests to enjoy the main course later on. It is also essential to keep the snacks nutritious as most people are conscious about their health. You must choose snacks that are high in fibre and protein. People usually keep a count on their calorie intake, and it is another point to consider when you select the snacks menu.

Use Readily Available Ingredients

Always remember that you would also need to shop for the ingredients on the snacks menu. As a result, you must select a menu whose ingredients can be readily available in the groceries around your locality. It is therefore ideal that you do not select any exotic items for the party. If you plan to visit a departmental store, keep to the outer rim as the fresh fruits and vegetables are stocked there. You may also order the ingredients online as they are more convenient.
