Upcycling is creatively repurposing an existing item and making an entirely new object out of it having equal or more value. With sustainable living gaining importance by the day, more and more people are keen on finding ways of reducing their environmental impact and being kinder to nature. With upcycling, discarded things like old furniture or materials get intercepted before they reach the landfill and are given a new life. Upcycling not only helps the environment but also creates uniquely crafted items.

Meet the Founders of ReStore

Restore - The Furnish House is the brainchild of three friends: Dinaz Mathur, Kunal Jadhav and Ankita Adeshra. The co-founders studied together in Mass Media from SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management, Mumbai University.

The Story Behind ReStore the Furnish House

While studying together, Ankita, Kunal and Dinaz were highly inclined towards exploring different fields, but they always wanted to do something to give back to the society. The three of them experimented with different internships, projects and YouTube channels. At one of their venture meetings, they happened to come across upcycling, which set them in a new direction and gave them their passion project, today known as ReStore.

We want to educate people that environmental friendly furniture is not always ugly or of a lower quality.

Ankita Adeshra

With a keen eye for detail and a magic to transform junk into masterpieces, Ankita usually spends all her weekends having an ‘artquake’ filling up houses, and winning hearts with her designs.

Kunal Jadhav

Having dipped his toes in multiple industries, Kunal is the man brain behind this venture. In addition to handling a production house called Fablette Motion Pictures, he excels in innovation and ideation and that’s exactly what he brings to the table here at Restore. Kunal also works as a director and has done several ad films with ace directors from the industry.

Dinaz Mathur

Since a young age, Dinaz showcased an amazing aptitude for solving problems. A whiz with words, she is always on the lookout for a problem to resolve. An entrepreneur at heart, she brings together the best forces for any venture she dabbles in. Dinaz is also currently working as a creative assistant producer for Zoom TV, Times Television Network. She has always been extremely sensitive towards the environment and it was her desire to build a brand centered around conscious living that led her to join Restore.

Upcycling: Becoming More Mainstream!

We want to tell our customers to give life to their space with stylishly crafted decor items and live a safe life inside and outside.

The many upcyclers or ReStore heroes as the brand calls them is an indication of the massive shift in the general mindset. The COVID-19 pandemic has just made it clear how Mother Earth is transforming and the damage we as humans have done to it. The founders are hopeful that people are now more likely to bring changes in their lifestyles and taking up organic actions for the planet.

The Brand’s Commitment

Restore aims to encourage a conscious attitude towards environment amongst all. It wants to make people aware of the hazardous effects of dumping items into waste. The brand reflects this commitment in not only its products but also packaging, using only recycled material!
