5 Things to do Everyday for Success

There are hundreds of books on how to achieve success and things that successful people do etc. But, in this short article we have tried to capture the 5 most important, easy and practical habits which one can practice every day to get success.

Wake up Early

There is no alternative of getting up early and though people can give you various reasons that why they cannot get up early and how some random guy got success even when he was a late riser, the fact is that getting up early gives you plenty of time to start your day early and utilize your time during the entire day more efficiently. You get time to do the important activities like exercise, yoga and meditation to keep your body and mind, fit and active. Your energies are at an optimum level early in the day and you can finish the most boring or complicated tasks during this time.

Getting up early also gives you the opportunity to sight the rising sun and soak in some vitamin D which is an essential nutrient to have strong bones and immunity. And, getting up early saves you from the sleeping pills as you go to bed early. Try getting up early for a few days and you’ll see and feel a brighter world.

Have a Daily Plan

Create a plan for the next day before you go to sleep the previous day as having a proper schedule increases your productivity in addition, would be able to achieve most of the things chalked out for the day. Divide the entire day into quarters or hours according to your professional and personal commitments. Make sure that exercise and meditation remain a part of your daily plan and if you like reading; then take out 20 – 30 minutes to read something informative and motivational before you go to sleep.

Recreation is equally important else life becomes boring, so play games, gossip, listen to music or watch news during the day. You can keep half an hour to one hour for these activities and can also divide this time into two parts. Don’t forget to keep some ‘me time’ and give a 5-minute break to your eyes, mind and body after every 1 - 1 ½ hour.

No Excuses

Giving excuses is one of the biggest hurdles on your path to success and interestingly, these hurdles are laid by no one else, but you. Whenever you will try to work hard and do the right things, the mind will play games and will trick you to remain stuck in the trap of your comfort zone. But, no one has ever achieved success or done anything great while staying in their comfort zone. Things will not change in your life until you’ll not change the way you lead your life. You will not be able to have a clear vision about what you want to achieve and how to achieve it until you remove the goggles of excuse from your mind.

Don't Waste Time on Negative Things and People

Time management is one of the most important factors which are sacrosanct for achieving success and the sooner you learn it, the better. Talking to or replying to negative people, in person or over social media will neither change them nor would it solve any purpose of yours; but you will waste your precious time and may end up being frustrated after a while. Better to avoid such discussions and people.

Slowly start decreasing your addiction towards smoking, drinking, engaging in nonproductive talks or video games as they suck in a lot of time and energy which can be used in other useful things as learning a new skill, upgrading your knowledge or reading a book.

Keep Yourself Updated

With everything going online including work, education, relations, shopping etc you have no choice but to keep yourself updated as technology is changing at a rapid pace.  Artificial Intelligence, IT and Data Science are rapidly changing the world and due to the current Pandemic, technology has taken a leap by approx 5 years. Approximately 65% of primary school kids will end up working in jobs that don’t even exist as of today. One can’t stick with traditional methods and grow in this era as Information and Data remain the key factors to success.

Few More Tips

Success is a road and not a destination, keeping this in mind try to live every day to the fullest. Maintain an optimistic view and live a balanced life which includes time for family, time for you, good health and lively relations and of course, wealth. Have a long term vision, but make short term goals, weekly goals, and monthly goals, jot them down and regularly track the progress. Be consistent with your schedule, prioritize the most important tasks and finally, talk less and do more.

Fear of failure (or even fear of success) often prevents us from taking an action and putting our creation out there in the world. But a lot of opportunities will be lost if we wait for the things to be right.
