- Sabudana
- Peanut
- Rock Salt
- Sugar
- Potatoes
- Coriander
- Cumin Seeds
- Oil/Ghee
- Green Chilli
How to make
- Soak sabudana for 2/3, make it soft and strain it aside.
- Boil or shallow fry potato in water
- Heat frying pan and add peanuts to roast and then make powder of it
- Mix sabudana with peanut powder, rock salt and sugar
- Add oil and crackle cumin seed in it
- Add green chillies and potatoes to sauté, then add sabudana
- Stir in low flame and add minced coriander and serve hot
You can garnish with some grated coconut and serve hot.
2. Palak Makhana

- Roast cumin seeds and add tomatoes add little water and spinach mixture and makhana
- Bring it to boil and serve the creamy makhana with puri or pulao
3. Easy Potato and Tomato Curry
‘Aloo tamatar ki sabzi’ is a regular cooked dish in North Indian households. It is super easy to make, and mostly everyone is comfortable eating it even at the time of Navratri fast. - Heat a small pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and hing
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and green chillies

4. Kuttu Aloo Vada

- Kuttu atta or Singhara ka atta
- Boiled and peeled potatoes
- Crushed peanuts
- Finely chopped green chillies
- Lemon juice
- Black pepper powder
- Cumin Powder

- Mix kuttu atta and little salt and water to make a smooth batter
- Add cumin powder, black pepper powder, chopped ginger, coriander and chillies and lemon juice in boiled potatoes and make small sized vadas
- Heat oil and fry them

- Remove the seeds of watermelon and dice into 10-inch
- Heat coconut oil and add nigella seed with cumin seeds

7. Pineapple Raita

9. Singhare Atta ka Halwa
Got very less time in hand? Then this recipe is for you. This recipe is very easy to make and also very less time-consuming. This USP of the recipe makes it very popular during not only the Navrati fasting or vrat days but also for other religious fasting or festivals. A little secret to share with you - the key to making perfect halwa is adding hot milk or water to avoid any lumps and stirring continuously in between. Also never leave the dough unattended on the stove. In English Singhare ka atta is called ‘chestnut flour’. The preparation time is 5 minutes and cooking time is 15 minutes for this recipe.

- Atta
- Green Cardamom Seeds Powder
- Ghee
- Water
- Suger
- Almonds or Cashews for garnishing
How to make
- Roast the atta till light brown and put hot water to it and stir well.
- Add sugar, cardamom powder and garnish with almond leaves and serve warm.
10. Kiwi Cucumber Mint Mocktail
During the fast of Navratri along with foods, you need to keep yourself hydrated. Caffeinated cold drinks or syrupy ready-made fruit juices are not suitable for health. Instead, try some homemade delicious and healthy fruit-based drink which like a kiwi cucumber mint mocktail. Both ingredients are super hydrated and awesome to cool down your body.
