Lucifer (Season 4)

Lucifer is an American television series that was developed by Tom Kapinos and first premiered on January 2016. The show is based on the DC Comics character by the same name and is taken from the comic book series The Sandman. The series revolves around the life of the primary character Lucifer Morningstar that is played by the talented Tom Ellis. He is the Devil, who abandons Hell and starts living in Los Angeles. However, Fox had announced on May 2018 that it had cancelled Lucifer. But, about a month later, Netflix announced that it has picked up Lucifer for a fourth season of ten episodes. The season was released on May 8, 2019, and is currently streaming on Netflix. Watch Chloe confront Lucifer, the relationship change between Amenadiel, Maze and Linda, and the return of Eve, Lucifer’s former flame. The series will be back with a 5th season too.

The Rain is a fantastic Danish post-apocalyptic web TV series that was first released on May 2018. The series has been created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Christian Potalivo, and Esben Toft Jacobsen. The show shows how a virus that is carried by rainfall successfully wipes out almost all human beings from Scandinavia. However, Danish siblings Simone and Rasmus survive by taking shelter in a bunker. The story then shows their journey six years later, when they go on a mission to find their father who may know the solution to the problem. The siblings are joined by a group of other survivors in their mission and travel across Denmark and Sweden amid dangerous conditions. The second season is equally exciting as the first and shows the events that unfold after the siblings find their father, who is killed before he could reveal anything much. The series will be back for its fans with a third and final season in 2020.

The film basically is the story of an ambitious science prodigy. She uses her skill to create time machines. The reason behind it is to save her brother from a death that was caused due to police brutality. However, she is unaware of the dangers that lie ahead of her as she tries to change the events of the past. However, she is determined to do what she wants to and shall face the dangerous consequences that time travel entails.

The story then goes on to show how the conman agrees to help the woman recover her stolen car from a thug for free and how that incident brings about a massive change in their lives. Streaming on Netflix since 24th May 2019, After Maria is a fantastic short documentary film about three strong women who try to move on with their lives after their world came crashing down due to hurricane Maria that wreaked havoc in Puerto Rico. The movie has been directed by Nadia Hallgren and the movie runs for 37 minutes in total. After Maria, as a movie, acknowledges the larger side of the tragedy that most of us ignored. It shows the condescension that the survivors received from the Trump administration, it shows the apathy that the survivors received from federal aid agencies, it showed that the death toll was actually a lot higher than the number that was officially acknowledged. The documentary shows the disaster caused by the hurricane and its paralyzing aftermath - all through the eyes of three women survivors and their families.

A Tale of Two Kitchens

The film shows the ways in which a restaurant can be a place of both community and dignity. A restaurant star of Mexico City Gabriela Cámara goes on to open another eatery named Cala. But this time, in San Francisco. The eatery has a similar menu but an unusual and different kitchen culture. In Cala, Cámara hires people who come from different backgrounds and cultures. This also includes ex-addicts and ex-felons, who see the work as a significant opportunity to become better individuals. The film is very inspiring and has received a lot of positive feedback.

When a devastating attack ends the lives of the US President and most of the Cabinet members, Kirkman, the designated survivor finds himself as the leader of the free world. Kirkman struggles to handle his newfound job, i.e., to keep the country from dissolving into chaos. However, he is unaware of what lies ahead of him and his country. The latest season will continue from where it ended in Season 2.
